New in the City A camera that takes a photo of the inside of your eye, recording the view that is checked as part of your eye health. This camera is called a retinal (or fundus) camera, and is new at the City branch. This is now part of a normal eye examination at CapitalEyes City , and as such is included in the standard consultation fee. The optometrist will explain to you the details of the photo, and any areas of concern are more easily understood. The photo also provides us with a baseline of your retinal health, for future reference. The camera takes the photo though the pupil, and even with moderately small pupils, we get very good photos without using eye drops. This service is available to our patients at other branches, and when appropriate, you will be referred to the city for this. The photo shown here is of a normal left eye. |
